Brian and Gene rolled into Columbia (almost) promptly at 21:00 for our first team meeting at the Wingate Inn where we were staying. The meeting was brief. We learned that the History Channel had purchased film rights to the project and that we would be on camera for most of the trip. We had a chance to meet Dr. Bob Seigler and John Hodge (the two that started this journey) and hear a brief history of their ten years of effort to find and secure rights to the plane. For those who don't know that story you can read it on their web site http://www.celebratefreedomfoundation.org/lakeb25c.htm. Then we heard a very general overview of dive operations from Chris Elmore before formulating a quick plan for the following day and then heading off to bed.
