The Mysterious Malady: Toward an Understanding of Decompression Injuries began as a collaboration with Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) to document answers to many issues faced by technical divers today.
GUE founder Jarrod Jablonski interviewed many of the world’s leading diving medical researchers from Duke University’s Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Environmental Physiology including Richard Moon and Claude Piantadosi, the primary research staff from the Diver’s Alert Network including Richard Vann and Edward Thalmann, David Doolette from the US Navy Experimental Dive Unit, and decompression researcher Erik Baker.
